You might consider making your appointment fof mobile notary services at a time of day when the patient or resident is most alert.

The Washington State law for proper identification states that the identification must “be current or expired for less than 3 years. Be issued by a federal or state government. Contain the individual's photograph, signature, and physical description.”

If the notary public arrives and hasn’t been made aware of this in advance, notary has a right to refuse service and the service fee will be due and payable. Certain processes are sometimes able to be arranged in advance with hospital staff to ensure the health of the notary and witnesses.
MOBILE NOTARY OF SEATTLE PAYMENT TERMS
Payment Terms: Considering the oftentimes emergent nature of hospital notarizations, Mobile Notary of Seattle will not take the time to ask for payment in advance. If, however, the notary arrives and one of the above three conditions has not been met, the notary will charge you the full service fee – plus applicable parking and/or toll fees - for making the trip to the hospital.
Witnesses: It is best if you can provide your own witnesses. These can be anyone over the age of 18 and are mentally sound. Witnesses should not be blood relatives and must not be anyone who could be a beneficiary, either directly or indirectly. Healthcare workers and hospital volunteers are not allowed to be witnesses. Under some circumstances, Mobile Notary of Seattle may be able to provide witnesses. An extra charge of $70 per witness, paid directly to that witness at the time of service, will be applied.
